In these conditions, I believe this card is out-of-order. It worked fine for a long time, also on windows 7 64 bit, I worked with it a long time. But when I came to intall the Nvidia drivers when I restart Windows stops.
Even when I use the cd with the original drivers. Now I'm running with the standard driver and I stopped trying to solve this myself because I need to install windows again every time I install another driver. Does anyone have any idea if there is any kind of fix for this or other drivers?

I did some research on Google as per the problem and I discovered the reason for the freezing and hanging was as a result of a lot of application trying to automatically start when the PC boots up.
To fix a very slow, lagging Windows 7 machine, the applications that are automatically initialized on start-up and other unnecessary ones that run in the background eating up memory need to disable.
For a quicker temporary fix; on the General tab, chose the Diagnostic startup or the Selective startup with only Load system services checked. On restarting your computer after performing the above rituals, the hanging and freezing would be gone.
In the end, I think I've managed to solve it. Proposed as answer by Andre. Sunday, August 22, PM. Sturgill 0. Ziegler 0. Check your RAM for errors please. Also run chkdsk to check your HDD.
